sabah trip part 2 - 4th of june

after the previous post which about the first day in Sabah, now i shall continue to the second day of the trip. Labuan, our first destination of the Sabah trip. we start our trip early in the morning which is around 0700. upon reaching the Jesselton Point, Elsa bought us the ferry tickets to Labuan. it took us more than 3 hours to reach Labuan from the jetty, slow ferry and the ferry company cheated us by saying it onli takes two and half hours to reach. at the Labuan jetty, we rented 2 cars which are Wira and Iswara (RM75 and RM70 per day) and we pumped RM10 of petrol for each car (that was before the fuel price hike). soon after that, we checked in to our hotel (VICTORIA HOTEL). rested for a while and had our lunch at the nearby coffee shop. soon after we are slightly charged up, we started our Labuan journey.

the following is our journey flow
An'Nur Jamek Mosque->Labuan Sea Sports Complex->Marine Museum->Labuan War Cemetary->The Chimney->Labuan Bird Park->Layang-layangan beach->Surrender point/Peace Park->Hotel

Kota Kinabalu jetty - Jesselton Point

we infront of the gateway! (our new found friend, MR. Chu Yok Lou aka Alex)

does not even looks like malaysia, one of the nicest jetty in Malaysia

i just escaped from superheroes movie!

how nice if i can sit here and enjoy my meal everyday?

our mistaken ferry (RM56 two-way ferry, student price lah)

inside the ferry, awful smell of diesel, i suspect leakage!

upon arrival at Labuan jetty, Pausa is exhausted although she slept almost the whole journey

Labuan jetty, lousier than Jesselton Point

our first stop in Labuan, An'Nur Jamek Mosque, by the way i am not embracing the building but the sun!

we in front of the modern masjid

the next stop, victoria hotel, one hell of a vintage hotel with vintage elevator!

then, Labuan Sea Sports Complex (no banana boat ride :( )

we then proceed to the Marine Museum which free admission!

little sharkie (immune to human touch)

in the Marine Museum

i love fishy!

those were the days!

we found Pausa's long lost sister (the remains of a whale)

behind of the sea sports complex

me and mongx2

i became the stick man! (terpaksa angkat the tripod)

another one before we leave the complex

Labuan War Cemetary, a really nice place!

me and bb at the war cemetary (looks like pre-war building)

hooo~

another shot at the war cemetary

before leaving the war cemetary, pity bb being squeezed in between

next, the coal mine museum!

the chimney, where the real purpose of this weird building still remains mystery!

camwhoring at the chimney

next, Labuan Bird Park. it reminds me of the Jurassic Park!

then, Layang-Layangan beach in Labuan (camwhoring session reached the peak at here)

jus ignore Pausa, took all the limelight away!

wuhoo~

last stop of the day, the surrender point where the japanese army surrendered to the australian army which marked the end of WWII in Borneo

final shot before we called it a day!

after a day of roadtrip, we called it a day after the surrender point. back to hotel and rested. then some of us cannot stand the duty free alcohols available here, we went down to a duty free shop nearby and bought a bottle of 1 litre of JIM BEAM WHITE (RM30) and a few bottles of Heineiken (RM2.30 each). then all hell broke loose! haha.

our poor Shiek Thing also fell sick for the Labuan Trip. poor OogWay. but we managed to persuade her to have a drink or two. she drank a few sips of beer and liqour! salute to OST! haha.

yeah forget to mention something important, we met our new found friend, Alex aka the chu yok lou. he is fun and nice. he is very very talkactive when he is drunk. so you want to chat with him, please get ready a bottle of liquor, he likes on the rock! hahaha

Car detailing part 1 - Exterior

there have been months since the last time i did detailing for my car (not full detailing as i do not have all the detailing product). so a few days ago, i decided to do some beginner detailng for my lovely ride. you need a few detailing product before you can detailing for your car. so below are the products i used on my car.

KIT car wash shampoo (for car washing purpose and lubrication for claying process)

Microfibre polish/wax pad and microfibre cloth for cleaning (for polish and wax process and i chose microfibre products as they are smooth and would not scratch the car body)

KIT Windscreen Wash (better visibility)

Perma Glass Wonder Clay No 2 (for light colored car). clay is to prepare your car for polish and wax as it can absorb the micro contaminants on your car which normal car wash cannot do so.

Meguair's Color X, a very well known brand in car detailing. this product is recommended for beginner in the car detailing like me.

after introducing the detailing products i used, i shall list down the steps of detailing.

1. normal car wash + vacuum the interior + tyre shine
2. claying process with Kit car shampoo as lubricant

the dirt trapped on clay (too blur as my hp camera does not have macro mode)

3. wash car again and rinse off

After claying!

closer look of after claying

another look of after claying process

4. wipe it clean and let it dry
5. examine the surface
6. apply Meguair's ColorX section by section

during the ColorX process

another look of during the process

7. let it dry and polish it off

after polished off the Color X

8. polish the car thoroughly

another look!

9. examine the surface
10. use KIT windscreen to clean the windscreen
11. wipe it off
12. examine the whole again
13. wanted to apply another layer of Polymer Sealant but the time is running out. so tak jadi.
14. then you can start to admire you car

final product

another look of final product!

to achieve better results in car detailing, you should have fully understanding on your car paintwork condition and type such old/dull, metallic or solid. then you should choose wisely on the car detailing products that available on the market as wrong products used may cause unwanted disaster happen. then, car detailing should carry out in the shade like what i did which tumpang someone special's house to do detailing (my house takde tempat lah). you must be patient as car detailing could easily take up hours to finish and i finished mine in 4-5 hours and it is just a normal car detailing. full car detailing might take up days to finish. most importantly, you must have the basic knowledge on car detailing before you do so. otherwise you will be having a tough time. for me, i done research on the internet first before i did my car detailing.

so guys i hope the tips might help you guys for car detailing and please correct me if i am wrong. so, happy detailing for car! it is good DIY!
