lucky number 8

he won 8 gold medals in Beijing 2008 which is the most gold medals ever won by an athlete in a single Olympic games. also he also won the most Olympics gold medals with total of 14. he is called the SuperFish or FrakenFish (this one named by mong mong). he is none other than the great Michael Phelps.

first gold medal in Men's 400m Individual Medley with world record time at 4:03.84

second gold medal in 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay with world record time at 3:08.24

third gold medal in Men's 200m Freestyle with world record time at 1:42.96

fourth gold medal in Men's 200m Butterfly with world record time at 1:52.03 (which is also his tenth Olympic Gold Medal won so far)

sixth gold medal in Men's 200m Individual Medley with world record time of 1:54.23

eighth and final gold medal in Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay with a world record time of 3:29:34.

ps: after seeing one athlete can win so many gold medals, i am wondering why Malaysia still can't win a gold medal from the Olympics.

lightning bolt striked thrice

ain't he fast or what?

ps: just in case you don't know who he is, he is Usain Bolt from Jamaica.

faulty air conditioner system

a few weeks, my car air-cond broke down (total no cold air). this time was leakage problem from the compressor which is one of the component that cost you a bomb. there are a few things in a car's air-cond system that can cost you a bomb are cooling coil, compressor and condenser. all of these items can easily fetch RM200 above per item. so guys better have your car air-cond system serviced regularly.

this time i had my car's air-cond repaired at mong mong's dad workshop. so i can expect a more professional approach instead of a bawah pokok's style of workmanship as her dad is proper trained and certified mechanic for Suzuki Cars.

sent my car there and had the system checked thoroughly. confirmed that the compressor was the culprit. the process was pretty straightforward as just had the faulty compressor replaced by the new one. then, check the pressure in the system before vacuum it in order to check for further leakage. it was followed vacuum the system and recharge the refrigent/freon into the system and jeng jeng, you have icy cold air blowing at your face.

i shall not disclose the total cost of repair but i can assured that his dad is good mechanic. so guys, do not hesistate to send your cars to KIAN NAM MOTOR REPAIRER for servicing.

have my car checked for air cond leakage

the culprit, air cond compressor suffered leakage

the brand new air-cond compressor

Denso Cool Gear ND-OIL 6 to replace the existing oil in the compressor

i was refilling the oil into the compressor

while my car was lifted up for compressor installation, i spotted this, oil leakage from front right absorber?

this is the left side of front absorber, got the sign of oil leakage

new air-cond hose to replace the old loose hose

had new drier installed too

thermometer in the car to monitor the air-cond temperature

disappointments

our first ever dream for a olympics gold medal has gone into the drain as our natinal and world no.2 badminton player Mr. Lee Chong Wei has failed miserably in Beijing 2008 Men's Singles Final last night. he did not put up a great fight for the fame and glory. world no.1 Lin Dan took the gold medal as easy as taking a walk in the park. wonder what's wrong with Lee. i guess he could not bear with the tremendous pressure from our nation and the home crowd. however, i shall congrats him for his efforts to bring us a gold medal.

To Chong Wei, u did us proud! you are the third Malaysian Chinese that made it to the Final and the first Malaysian in Men's Singles Final.

Lee in despair. come on, be strong!

another disappointment was the sole chinese superstar, Liu Xiang in track and field has pulled out from the 110m hurdles due to hamstring injury. he seems to be restless even before the round 1 of 110m hurdles took place. he walked off the track even before the event started during the restart due to false start. what a shame that china has lost its only hope for a gold medal in track and field and Liu Xiang could not defend the gold medal.

i guess he was also suffered from extreme pressure from the 1.3 billion china people. there was something quite while i was watching it live from Astro, the crowds were soon leaving the Bird Nest after seeing their fellow countryman failed to retain the gold medal. how bad was that huh? show some support lah wei~

how suffering Liu Xiang was even before the event started..

kemaskini sekejap

many things had happened for the past week. beijing olympics 2008 finally started. many records have been broken by the top athletes such Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt. Malaysia also not that bad because our national top and world no.2 top badminton Mr. Lee Chong Wei has made it into the Men Singles Final. hopefully we can win a gold medal or silver medal. better than nothing right.

saw this FUWA in first ever FUWA slam dunk competition. haha

the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt with 9.69seconds for 100 meters

inside the birdnest.

Michael Phelps with his don't know how many gold medals.

but something is very funny here, the chinese are exciting about their country total gold medals won and yet we as malaysian are all praying damn hard for our top player to get a medal (initially). this time we pray hard for a malaysian chinese to win a medal to do us proud (hopefully a gold medal).

someone that can really do us proud!

back to our nation. recently there is a group of people were very annoyed by a statement from a leader from opposition party ruling state. he stated that a well know (i think so) local higher education institution should open up its door to others in order to achieve better performance in terms academically and globally. and yet this group were very upset and many demonstrations were taken place throughout the country. what are they do this? scare of being (boh chi?) or nothing else better to do? are they afraid of those minorities will overcome them? or they are just plain ignorance/naive? well only they will know.

ok. back to personal stuff. last friday which was 080808. it was me and mong mong 4th year anniversary. we went out for dinner at Chili's at 1U. and our dinner started exactly at 8:08pm of 080808. how nice was that. ok if you need more photos and insights about it. please click
here. then move on to my study life. life was not easy to be in my course. many labs lately. labs = reports. tons of reports need to be submitted. and people can be very deceiving. can't tell who's foes and who's allies. study life's a bitch. anyway life still moves on.

now i'm officially back in Malacca for a week. anyone back in Malacca can buzz me or contact me. i'm more than willing listen to all your needs. haha

something to share..

today i wanna share some experience i met in my campus which i shall remain unnamed. but i guess most of you know the name of it. ok. i woke up early today, and went to the student's clinic to have my second dosage of injection for hepatitis B. upon reaching the clinic,

i was early and i quickly registered myself. then, i wait patiently for my turn. it is the clinic regulation that the patient must be examined by the nurse before one can seek the doctor's consultation. then, i proceed to the nurse section and the nurse told me that in order to get the hepatitis B injection, i must go to the treasury department to pay RM26 for that jab.(i was like WTF, what the hell i paid the charges for?) she added that i shouldn't have registered myself but i replied that i need to seek doctor's consultation for calcium supplement as i suffered from osteoprenia (signs of osteoporosis).

then again i have to wait for my turn. when my number showed on the electronic board that i should go to room 5, i quickly walked to room and entered. but they made a mistake saying i should go to room 4. ok. again, i waited. this time the number finally shown, and it is clearly my turn. entered the room, greet the doctor and sat down. the doc was looking at me one kind. i told him about the purpose of my visit. he read through my blood test and bone density report before writing the prescription. then i requested that whether i can have some vitamin supplement. he quickly replied no which saying due to what blah blah policies by the uni management, no supplement pills for student. (again, i was like WTF).

then went to the pharmacy to collect my calcium supplements. handed the prescription and WAIT eventhough i am the ONLY one there. ok waited for a while, collected the pills and i quickly went to treasury department which is situated approximately 2km from the clinic to pay the damn RM26.

upon reaching, i ran up to 2nd floor to pay, again waited for the number to blink eventhough i'm the only one there. paid and went down to 1st floor to check why the hell is my education loan haven't deposited into my bank account. again, waited for the number to blink. when it is finally my turn, they told me that they couldn't check for me as the system was down. (WTF!). disappointed.

then, went back to the clinic again and showed the receipt to counter just to photocopy it. ran to the pharmacy and present the receipt to the nurses in the treatment room to get the job done. again waited. the nurse's skill was bad when giving me the jab. it's kinda painful as she simply did the job. (WTF). done and went home.

the moral of the story is, one to need to have all the time in world when he/she needs to deal with my campus. bad services. why need to the medical charges eventhough it is already charged by the treasury department? why students can't request for vitamins supplements? why the hell you need pay the money at a place which is situated so bloody far away? why can't just pay directly? bad time management, low productivity and the list goes on. and i am very disappointed today.

by the way i have something to show you guys.

this is the word they used to described a faulty CPU in tertiary education level.. it is not found in Bahasa Malaysia nor English. what a joke!
