another spiritual weekend~

last weekend, i took part in another chinese taoist temple's parade/procession in conjuction of the Anniversary of its main god, Xuan Tian Shang Di. Anniversary of a taoist god can be considered the birthday of the god. this procession was supposed a grand one as it is the first time that this temple to held such festival. this time, i went with my dad after we were given the t-shirts of the festival a few days before the parade (unwillingly accepted the shirts.. haha).

the parade started at 3pm last saturday. we went there a little bit early to see what we can help (actually we do nothing as there were hundreds of people there, too crowded). before the parade started, there were 8 mediums on trance such as mediums of Xuan Tian Shang Di, Hua Kuang Da Di, Pao Shen Da Di, Pan Gu Da Di, Zhong Tan Yuan Suai, Zhang Gong Sheng Juin, Guan Gong (Xie Tian Da Di), Shan Cai Ye/God. it was considered a rare occasion to have so many mediums together and this is the only time i seen such situation by far.

the parade took a route around Malacca which approximated around 10km or more. it ended around 10-11pm. i could not recall the time when it ended as i was dead beat tired. haha. ok let the pictures do the talking.

front abs replacement

a few weeks back, i noticed my car's front pair absorbers were showing sign of oil leaking. since the absorbers i bought are come with 1 year warranty, so i claimed a pair of new front abs. took it to nearby tyre shop and have it changed. bloody cut throat price but what to do, need to send back the faulty front abs to the seller for claiming process. by the way i'm using full set of improve propex sport abs with improve lowered springs.

the serial no.

new design, without much stickers on it

it comes with the rubber cover to protect the valve

faulty abs

another one

after replaced the faulty abs with the new abs, the front end is much more firmer and finally they got my camber fixed and my front wheels alignment has negative camber. woohoo! however, i really hope that the new front pair of abs won't failed me that soon. if still giving me problem, i will opt for Kayaba RS!

burger hunt part 1

a few weeks back, we and mong mong decided to go on a burger hunt. the objective? pretty much easy, to hunt down all the burgers available in Malaysia regardless of brands. before the hunt begins, i need list down all the brands of burger available in Malaysia which i'm aware of, they are Ramly's, Wendy's, Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger King, A&W, Marrybrown, Carl's Junior.... and the list goes on. pretty much most of the fastfood outlets do sell burger except those pizza outlets. however, do you guys ever heard of JACKSON'S burger which sells homemade patties on a BURGER MOBILE?! Jackson's burger is quite among those who stayed or work at Section 14, PJ.

ok, let the hunt begins! let's start with Jackson's and Wendy's. on a fine afternoon which after class, mikey suggested to have burgers as our lunch. so we (me, mikey and aik leong) headed to Section 14, PJ to search for Jackson's. it relatively easy to find as the Burger Mobile was situated in front of a house. we quickly placed our order. 3 chicken burgers. it was nice (homemade patties mah!) and pretty much a chinese style of burger. however it was not that filling afterall, so we go on second round, this time 2 fish fillet burgers and 1 chicken burger (me just love the chicken, they ordered the fish). ok let the pictures do the talking! by the way, the chicken burger special is RM3.50 while the fish fillet burger special is RM3.70.

Jackson's Burger scored 8 out of 10.

next Wendy's. actually me and mong mong hunted down Wendy's quite some time ago. we had it at Sunway. it was during the Ramadan Month so the Wendy's there was quite packed with people. Me ordered the Chicken Grilled Burger while Mong Mong ordered Shrimp Burger and Baked Potato with Sour Cream. i had high expectations on Wendy's but it turned to be a mediocre burger. it was so-so. also, it was more expensive than Burger King.

Wendy's burger scored 5 out of 10.

ok, stay tuned! more burgers coming your way!
